We got it....

Hello everyone. We hope you all are doing well. The new slideshow gives a clue to some of the happenings in our lives and we hope everyone likes the pictures. We both might agree our careers are not leading to professional blogging; and that is fine! We are still trying to figure out things for Becca and nursing school. It is kind of crazy that there is a demand for nurses, but most everywhere has a waiting list of at least a year. So, more to come on that one. Spring break is next week for Becca, so it will be nice not to have to worry about school for a little while. The daylight is getting noticeably longer everyday, and there has not been crazy short days here for a while. That means there is more time to do stuff when the days are nice. Frisbee golf is a good way to spend an afternoon. We are both a lot better at frisbee than real golf; it is a lot more affordable too. We have been keeping score just like the real game, though. There's a par for the course and everything. Cross country skiing has been a great way to get out as well; you can see from the pictures some of the sightings on the trails! The Iditarod start was great to see because there is so much history involved. It was a beautiful day to get out and see the event, and so crazy to think that all we had to do was drive home, while the mushers still had over a thousand miles to journey before their trip was over. Daily race coverage is on the radio and it's nice to have seen the teams at the start to put faces to the names. It really brings it to life. On another note, we thought you would like to know that one year ago today, we met each other at the Whitewater Center!!! Anyway, just doing a post to keep you posted! Give us a shout....Greg and Becca

Long time...no post

Well, we are way into the New Year of 2008, and I realize now that we are blogging failures. Life in Alaska has gone well. It has been cold at times, but has usually been alot colder elsewhere in the state. One day, it got to 76below in one part of the state and it was rumored that the postal service(of one person) for that area decided no to go. "So...rain, sleet, snow, hail, hot........awwww but forget the cold." Hannah, he must have gone to work on his blog that day. Automobiles don't like to work as good when it gets that cold.

Turning points are on the horizon as Becca is figuring out about nursing school, and Greg is bracing for where that might be. We both agree that of the places she gets in, the one we choose should be a positive place to lay ground for the future. So far, the schools Becca has heard back from have year or two waiting lists. So pray for us on this one...that school and work will prove to be rewarding wherever that is going to be.

So this is a mini update until we can figure out how to access our account where the slideshow is. Greg logged in too many times with the wrong password this morning and now it won't let us on with the right one! 'Hope all is well....
